Try to arrive on time though [NOT EARLY], or else those fascist bastards charge you for parking [after three hours or something like that].

You get 3 hours free if you get validation then you get killed on parking rates.

DeltaSigChi4
04-05-2007, 10:18 PM
Yeah. But how the hell can you validate the parking ticket at HOB? Go to security when being patted down? Go to your favourite bartender?

BTW, their head security there is gay. I mean, not that I care, but he was giving me unwanted advances [looks] the last time I was there. I stood right in front of my view of the stage too. Kinda was conspicuous about it.

When the show is over there is a person who has the validation stamp on the way out.

DeltaSigChi4

Bullshit.

I saw no such person.

The Ducks may well be in the playoffs of the Stanley Cup.If you've never been to a hockey game, there is nothing like the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Knott's Berry Farm is close also.

DeltaSigChi4

I shouldn't have to ask.

Shit, I shouldn't have to pay for parking.

Whatever cheapskate, you make a s**tload scalping but you are too cheap to buck up on parking? psssssh. Dont give me the whole of "well in vegas its all free parking". There are reasons for that and you know it, Out here in Cali you pay unless you can find somehwere for free or get validation. So next time think and ask.

DeltaSigChi4

In Las Vegas, all parking is free.

I feel entitled to free parking.

I'm a paying customer to their shit venue [btw, they are all shit venues], so why the fuck should I be gouged on parking my vehicle while I am inside their shit venue?

theres Disneyland/Disney California, Downtown Disney, Huntington or Newport beach, the Block in anaheim, Knotts berry Farm, Angel Stadium, Chain Reaction, the Grove, Club Boogie, or you can go Bar Hopping in Downtown Fullerton

Hope that helps!

Cydewonder listed pretty much everything you can do in the area. If you want to check out other beaches you can go to Doheny or San Clemente. You can take the metrolink to San Clemente or go to Union Station in LA and check out Olvera Street and China Town. The station is in the Angels stadium parking lot. Or you can take the train to San Diego and spend a day there, Old Town has some good Margaritas!

i thought about this but i figured tickets would be sold out to any of these games. what do you think the chances are of getting a few playoff tickets at face value for the ducks?

also i saw a casino called hawaiian gardens? i considered going there or the casino in indio. are there any other casinos that are better?

oh and im deffinitly hitting up the anaheim hooters.

the indian casinos are better.

its a ways, but you could take the train down to tijuana, that would be a fun day trip. there's a train that will take you to san diego, and then another that takes you to the border, then you can cross on foot. from there grab a taxi, and just tell the driver to take you to adelitas.

you'll thank me later. ;)

Here you go bro. Anaheim and the things you can do..

Angles Game, cheap tickets and nearby. Something you can do to waste 3 hours of your life.

Ducks game if you can score some playoff tickets; that would be sick!!

HOB of Anaheim, if anyone is good playing.

Jump on the 5 south freeway, exit Spectrum blvd. and watch 300 on IMAX! (about 15 min away from Disneyland going south)

Take a taxi to the Orange Circle, Downtown Orange, about 5-10 min from Disneyland. Go to some local bars, meet the REAL OC locals. Visit Pauls bar, quality people.

Go to Disneyland or California Adventure. If you know anyone who works there, ask them to get you in for free. Or, try to find the first druggy employee there and ask them to "sign" you in and drop them 30 bucks, better than 60..

Want some east coast hot dogs?? Head on the 5 north toward LA, exit magnolia, turn right. Right on La Palma. 2 min drive you'll see the Buena Park mall and on the left you'll see Portillo's. Then head next door to Chili's ask for ryan, and have yourself an El President e marg.

Visit me bro. Rent a car, drive down to Long Beach. From Anaheim I would just take the 5 to the 91 towards LA, then the 710 towards long beach.. Follow the signs toward "shoreline" and come to the yard house for 200+ beers on tap, plus me as your server.. We can head out and hit happy hour at all the bars.

Ummm. Shit.. Knotts Berry Farm. Same way I sent you to Portillo's, just keep going and you'll see it on the left.

Wild Bills, or now its the "pirate adventure" and medieval times is on the way to knotts, except when making a left on beach, make a right. You'll see it.

I think i've exhausted all the things you could do for four days brother.. If i were you, i'd try not to get sick, go to the gym, and make a friend at a local bar and hope some bitches come in and you get laid.

hawaiian gardens is fun. Take the 5 north to the 91 toward LA, and then the 605 toward Long Beach, exit umm... Its like the third exit, you'll see the big flashing sign on the freeway, exit make a left, it will be on your left.

Hooters of anaheim is across the way from the The now "Honda" center where the Ducks play. Good buffalo wings, great sites.

Oh, visit Imperial Theatre for strip club pleasure. Same way I sent you to knotts, portillos, and the other two places. 5 south, exit magnolia, right and it will be on your right before La Palma.. (la palma is the first big signal street once your on magnolia from the freeway).

Anywhere else would be a waste of a drive and time, especially in SOCAL traffic and weather.

Go to Disneyland. Do not go to Disney's California Adventure; it is a waste of time and money.

Here's what I found at House of Blues in Anaheim that week (located in Downtown Disney)

Ice Cube on 4-20
Jet on 4-23
Ice Cube on 4-25
Sean Lennon 4-27 (don't know if you have Coachella Friday tiks or not)

http://www.hob.com/venues/clubvenues/anaheim/

The ESPN zone at Downtown Disney is a good place for a burger and a beer.

For real food, try Brennens, which is also at Downdown Disney. Not sure if you like food from New Orleans but this place comes close (even though the Brennens are from Louisiana).

if you're a us citizen, you don't need a passport until next year to cross the border on foot/car.

You need a passport.

you only need a passport if you're entering back into the us by air. you don't need a passport to reenter the us by land until 1/1/2008, and even then there's talk right now of pushing that out another year.

It did but just for air travel.

FYI--if you're planning any air or land trip, go ahead and get your passport now. It's taking from 10-12 weeks for passports to be issued because of the new demand.

Gotta go to Santa Monica if you're in SOCAL! Don't forget to pay a visit to Hollywood and Beverly Hills - it's the touristy thing to do ;)

there's a couple of restaurants IIRC that serve alcohol in disneyland, but i don't think you can walk around with a beer in hand.

we used to just smuggle it in back in the day, but i haven't been to disneyland in literally 10 years, so who knows what security is like now.

Downtown Fullerton and Old Town Orange are both great during the day and night.
