seriously, perry farrell will haunt the empire polo grounds long after weve all departed from this earth
............boy and girl walking through the ground (now an apartment complex in the year 2040) "did i just hear "jane says"? I havnt heard that song since the early 2000's!" then all of a sudden the ghost of perry farrell will kill them both with a mic to the back of the head...............

Common was on the original line up poster. And stop whining, you already annoyed us with your "I saved a million bucks by not going this year, but I gave in and decided to go"

there's a nice spot on the poster (for Saturday) that could house a sahara headliner...

Satellite Party was in the oiginal annoucement posted at mtv.com when the line up first came out and then then they disappeared. So it was just a matter of time.
Honestly, Coachella without Perry Farrell is like Vegas without Wayne Newton.

Perry was great last year with Hybrid... Of course, he did not do that much. Hybrid is so amazing though.

Nuno was actually a pretty talented guy who just happened to break into music at a low point in music history- the rise of Glam Metal.
I was never a fan, but if you strapped me into a torture chair and forced me to pick a late 80's glam band to listen to, I'd pick Extreme in a heartbeat. (Although, I'd probably have second thoughts after a few hours and wish I had picked Skid Row.)

Hahaha. Its funny cuz its most likely true.
Oh well, Perry Ferrell seems like he is a good live entertainer. So I will probably check them out.

when i saw them at SXSW, everyone was bored to tears, until they did "Had a Dad"...
so, if you want to hear Perry sing one live Jane's song... check out Satellite Party. Otherwise, there will probably be a GOOD band playing on another stage that you've never heard of.

It's just Perry dancing around in various silk shirts surrounded by the Pussycat Dolls...

Duh! Cuz additions are comming! Why make a new poster and post it, when a couple bands are gonna be added a few days later. It makes sense.

I was hoping that would be the answer

Call me a cynic, but I don't see why GV would add any bands at this point. Unless they are playing for free exposure. The show is a sell out (except for several thousand Friday only tix). I think GV is more concerned with counting money at this point.

Every time Perry moves, sings, or opens his mouth, a little bit more of his legacy is eroded.
Nothing's Shocking is a brilliant classic.
Everything else had its moments.
Pyros was shit.
Subsequent Jane's reunions were ass.
Peretz is to DJ as Brian Austin Green is to rapper.
Sattelite Party is a taint-sniffing wank.
He needs to just throw festivals and fuck off.

People need to stop hating. Perry has more creativity in his little finger than you snobs have in your entire fuckin whiny bodies.
Jane's Addiction was a revolutionary rock band that paved the way for alternative rock in the late 80's when rock was dominated by hair metal bands, and he continued to put out amazing music with P4P after Jane's self destructed. He also pioneered american rock festivals, and Coachella might not be what it is today without the original lolla festivals.
I agree his DJing kind of sucks, and his other projects arent as good as his old material, but give the guy a break, he's just trying to have some fun. Even if you dont like his music, you should give the guy some respect. He's earned it.

I have to agree with you. I dont seem to share the same kind of hate everyone here has for Perry Farrell.
I just listened to some Satellite Party music, and its not bad. It has an electronic flare, but it still rocks. On top of that, Perry Farrell is a great live entertainer, so it should be a good set to watch. This is the first addition I actually care a decent amount about.

Are you kidding me...He didn't find his way it happens like that...he's been involved for years and is a huge forefather of alternative music and blew the doors off his show at sxsw
I'm bumbed he's playing so early...it's always blazing hot when he goes on
I'm glad this has been added cause when they were removed from the original line up I was dissapointed...a show a wanna forsure catch...
show some respect

Don't get me wrong. I am a huge Jane's Addiction AND Porno for Pyros fan, back in the day Perry could do now wrong, but Satellite Party last year was really sad, I love Perry, and I think the man is great, but that was just terrible!! I was actually very sad to hear and see him doing that gig..
Perry! Come back with something edgy and kick ass! You're the man! I know you still have it!
