last sunday glastonbury tickets sold out in under 2 hours - thats 175,000 in less than 120 minutes. as my name suggests i have been and loved it, and im going again this year. it involved pre-registering in february with address details and a photo, which gave you a code to enter at sale time. absolutely insane trying to get tickets for glastonbury nowadays but these things must be done.
has anyone here been to both? im expecting great things from coachella, its known as a potential rival across the world. also is anyone going this year or am i unique in going to both?? i highly doubt that but you never know!

I think a couple of people on here are going to both. And its more along the lines of 135,000. The total number of peopel permitted on the grounds is 175,000. But that includes staff also not just peopel attending. So about 40,000 people of the total are staff. One year I will go to both, one year.

One of the guys in my group is going to both - Enjoy glasto, with it's rather weak but varied lineup.

actually yeah, bearing in mind the resale on April 22nd which is apparently around 20k it looks more likely that the initial figure was 115k. even so a stupid rate of sales, absolute insanity.
orbit bear in mind its purely a telephone resale, no online sales, so get a load of phones available! best of luck.

coachella lineup is far better, greater strength across the board. i would say out of the unconfirmed glasto lineup, theres about 20 artists im keen to see while at coachella its probably double. just finding the time!!!

I like the Coachella line up more. The only two acts I'd like to see from Glastonbury on this year's Coachella is Fatboy Slim and Super Furry Animals.

Did anyone see the documentary about Glastonbury? It did not play very long in the theatres.
