I don't think you'll have to go completely nuts to get close. Most people--even the huge Bjork fans (like myself)--are there to see more than just one artist. Go see what you want to see and have a good time, but you'll probably want to see whoever is on before Bjork, just to stake your claim somewhere.

i saw her last time she played at coachella, tickets weren't sold out and it was ABSOLUTELY NUTS! I would start moving into for a spot if around 4 or 5pm the latest to get somethin good. we made our way in around 6 when we had made our way up to about 3 people behind the rail by the time she came on. it was packed so tight that my feet were literally 2 feet to the left of my body yet i was still being held up. she came out, people started pushing like crazy and fights were breaking out all around me while she was up there singing All Is Full of Love. after about 4 songs i gave up on the spot because of the constant arguing around me. i hope this year isn't as bad.

i'll probably be in the middle just because I love Bjork and haven't seen her yet, but the Main Stage crowds do suck. Massive Attack was damn uncomfortable for the most part, probably due to all the fucking Tool fans though. I'm glad I moved out when Tool got on. I watched 'em on the grassy hill in front of the food stands. Smoked a J and chilled. Great way to enjoy em.

The Ultimate squish was Daft Punk though. I didn't expect to get so far up front since I walked into the Audio Bullys set just as they were finishing up, but I got pretty damn close. When DP started I seriously couldn't move my body left or right.

I want to give one of her shows another chance. I saw her in Seattle on the pier. We suffered through what felt like an hour (okay like 45 minutes) of the same cruddy opening act and then she played maybe 30 minutes tops. I was so angry! That ticket was not cheap =( I hope this time will make up for that.

It's been discussed before, but it's likely that Friday isn't sold out because a lot of people can't afford to take off Friday and Monday to attend a 3-day festival. And any notion that Bjork doesn't have enough fans to sell out a venue is crazy. On the other hand, Bjork always plays LA when she tours, but this time she isn't. You'd think LA fans would make the drive for just her alone.
