I'm here for the same reason you are Kingsblend. To flex my musical muscles so everyone knows that the music I like and the music I think is garbage is the correct music...and to have a life like you suggest, patterned of course off your internet persona. Duh

Ah yes, the typical internet persona reference as a means of a rebuttal.

Anyone pull the Justice show from San Diego or Fonda night 2?

EZTorrent is not accepting new users right now and I would really like to grab a copy of this show. If anyone would be willing to trade, I would be very appreciative. I could offer an old Daft Punk - Daftendirektour to you. Or we could talk about other shows. Please say what's up or PM me if you would be willing to help.

Not you, Shyguy.

Ok cool, I didn't miss out

I went to the Seattle show and got a tour T-shirt for free : ) But......that was about the only good thing about the whole trip. Nobody in seattle dances, I couldn't get into the show at all. It was a waste of time, except for the shirt.

You shoulda come to Vancouver. The place was bouncing the whole night! Everywhere you went, people were dancing. It was great.

You wouldnt happen to have any extra Justice tour T's would ya? They werent selling them in Van.

No I did go, I went to both : ) Vancouver was insane, I havn't seen a crowd at the commodore go that crazy in years.

Sorry I don't have any extra T's, I tried but the cute merch girl wouldn't give in. She said they were hoping to sneak a couple in, but I guess the they ran out.

The Vancouver show was great. The electronic scene is Vancouver has been growing quite rapidly over the last little while.
Apparently the reason there was no merch in Vancouver was because they couldnt clear the shirts through customs for some reason.

Okay, SSPU vs Justice was stupid in the first place, and now its over, so everyone shut up. By the way, If you call Justice Techno one more time Ill bitch like a little girl and explain to you what Electronic music is.

And to those who are "getting over this Ed Banger phase' /response to Bosco"

The Ed Banger crew doesnt think Justice is the second coming. justice one the remix competiton for Simians 'Never Be Alone' in Europe and that track exploded and they got real big real fast obviously, Ed Banger obviously supports them as they are the biggest act on the label and now they are gaining worldwide recognition and bringing this whole new (hate to use this word) scene of electronic music everywhere, similar to what Daft Punk did for it. So just relax, yeah, so many hipster jerk off kids are on Ed Bangers nuts like me on your mom but trhat doesnt mean they suck. I love Ed Banger, I didnt get what I expected out of cross but I still love that album because its a fucking banger(no pun intended). Dont let stupid kids ruin music, it will pass eventually, and there will be less stupid kids, and more good fucking music. Try harder. and if you honestly dont like it, then cool whatever, jsut dont come in here talking about some shitty indie band and using the word techno like your my fucking grandma calling asians orientles.

/end incrediblly stupid rant

sorry about that..

The Ed Banger crew doesnt think Justice is the second coming.

Yeah, that got interpreted wrong, I should have worded it better. What was ment to be said was:

"They've only got one album out and people think Justice *and the Ed banger Crew* are the 2nd comming of Christ."

justice one the remix competiton for Simians 'Never Be Alone' in Europe and that track exploded.

wait, I thought they did the remix to enter A remix contest (not just for Simian remix contest) and I believe they came in 2nd place. But Pedro Winters some how met Gaspard and Xavier through So-Me at some fashion design party or something. And Pedro mentioned he was starting a record label. Gaspard and Xavier then mentioned they had a remix. Pedro listened to it, liked it, and wanted them to sign to his label and do their own material. Thus, we have Justice.

Correct me Bryce, I know you know the whole story.

I just read an article on Justice in the new Blender and it said Busy P met them at a cheese tasting party Gaspard's mom was having. They played their simian remix, Busy P heard it and signed them on the spot.

I dont understand why he (Pedro) would sign them up right after hearing the Justice vs. Simian "Never be Alone" track. Its nothing earth shatering (IMO), just has a catchy vocal loop, but thats it.

You are going to Vegoose? Awesome. Bryce said he isnt a big fan, but I seriously suggest checking out Gogol Bordello. They are pretty much the best live act I have ever seen. I know a lot of people who dont like their recorded music, but love them live. Sorry. Just had to throw that out there.
And yeah. If either of you guys have an extra medium out there, that would be awesome. I would be willing to pay for it too. If not, I will take an extra small off of your hands. Thanks again.

I was bummed that i missed them @ Caochella, I cant remember who I was seeing instead, and I missed them at Bumbershoot here in Seattle too, but they were the only act I really wouldve wanted to see and I didnt really want to pay.

You got that right. The Commodore audience were insane! It was too crazy to take my camera out, so I only ended up with 2 pics once i moved back during the encore... There was a part right at the beginning of Phantom II where it just went off and Ive never seen the Commodore jump up and down in sync like that. I wish I could relive that day over and over... Ya, Gaspard told me before the show they would be back in March, hopefully he meant Vancouver aswell.

well thats your right. a little selfish if you ask me, but thats just my opinion. when i take video or pics, i do it so i can look back and remember how much fun it was, and if i have the power to give other people that same joy of reliving something cool, then i would never hold back. i love knowing something i did brings joy to others. i guess you guys prefer knowing that you have something that other dont.

Meh not exactly. I share my pics and stuff. But why do I have to share everything? I am the one who went through the trouble, who invested the money for the equipment. If others want memories they can bring their cameras and their recording devices.

But I will say it is very much a community and I like being part of the ROIO community and giving back. I think giving back is important. Just saying that, you know, why do I have to share everything? Maybe I don't feel that its worth putting up (poor quality, incomplete, etc) even if it would make others happy. Plus if you have something that not everyone and their mother has downloaded off the internet, it makes it that much more special when you give it to someone. Or I mean maybe a special release for friends then a few months later up it to the net. It really depends what we are talking about here.

you dont HAVE to share everything, i just dont see a reason why not to, except for selfish ones. i mean yea, if its poor quality, thats a different story. but this whole time ive been talking about not sharing stuff that you know other people would enjoy. i just dont get it. i dont want to go round and round about this anymore though, it just comes down to a difference of opinion, so lets just agree to disagree.

in good hands - sure. but, my oh my did you miss out on something incredible. i've haven't seen Metro explode in a wave of dance like this since i saw The Faint back in 2004. literally everyone danced. the photographers and security guards in the pit. the VIP sections on the left and right. the bartender behind me. it was pandemonium. Look at the song titles..
Genesis?
Let There Be Light?
Waters of Nazareth?

Atleast one of them has got to be...

last time I bought from arcade mode was when I bought those collecters edition box set of †. It took a month to get it, but that was only because they didnt wanna give out the product before the release of †. Im guessing we should get our items either the 1st or 2nd week of November.

This is the 1st thing ive ever gotten from there, and it JUST reopened, the store was closed for a while, and it says on the main page they will ship the stuff next week...from there i have no clue...but for 20 euros, it better be fast.

i didnt have the balls to ask them.

but by the vibe i got. now. my guess is its a long running joke. starting with their love for metallica (and justice for all) hence the name. and then im sure it was like oh lets make it a giant cross for the t. and it just spiralled out from there

Ok, this has been asked about them before. Please see KCRW interview back in May. Just cause it has those titles doesnt mean anything. they kind of tip toed around it, but didnt confirm or deny. And you finally like thought about this?

DUDE!!!! You are the fuckin best! Thanks for sharing that info...I just grabbed me a size L! SOOOOOOOOOO worth it, comes out to 44 euros...thats 61 CAD.

not religious? you are a fool if you think they're not religious.
"Oh, those song titles don't mean anything" give me a fucking break, how retarded could one be? The title of their first album is a fucking crucifix.
don't get me wrong, justice is fun and I enjoy them, but I wouldn't wear a Justice tee in public, lest some grandma tries to start up a conversation with me about christianity.
If it's all just 'designs and meaningless song titles', why are they exclusively christian in theme? And why did they give an interview that said the last book they read was the bible?
How is this even debatable?

religious? yeah right man. they're playing the hardest songs with a gigantic cross and you think they may be religious? of course it's a joke, and the best joke at that. everytime i see a cross, the first thing that comes to mind now is that it is a justice cross, not some lame symbol of a lame religion.

fuck you, i think its important. if they are actually bible beaters preaching christianity as they go around rocking peoples worlds, then they can suck my cock and i will never pay money to see them again. if its a joke, its only an inside joke, which is lame since they are the only ones laughing.

i mean, if they are trying to steal the churchs logo and make it their own, in a way i think thats cool, but they should make it known they are stealing it. otherwise all these christians think they have finally found some cool christian music (which by the way, doesnt exist).

Why? No offence, but that is fucking stupid. Just because they are christians, doesnt mean they are bible thumpers and want to proclaim to the world that they should convert. Maybe they are christian AND its a joke/gimmick. That could be case. Also, just because they are Christian, it doesnt mean they make music christian. Lil Wayne is without a doubt the worst rapper I have ever heard. I listened to him when I was like 11 and he was at least tolerable then.

Justice = 1 album with some really strong tracks but some real garbage ("The Party", anyone?), a penchant for playing full, unmixed 90's Jock Jams in concert, and a light show consisting of a fucking cross. Sure, they can rock, but let's not lose our shit.

i already stated i know it sounds dumb. its simple though, i hate christians. well, i take that back, i hate preachy christians. dont try to turn me on to your fuckin cult assholes. just cuz you want to waste your life believing in bullshit doesnt mean i have to.

Well, I have to disagree. I am a christian (technicaly catholic... but whatever.) However, I am not a "preachy" one. I know who you are talking bout though. I hate them too. They almost make me not want to be part of the religion. Also, I dont agree with a lot of the christians teachings. But also cant sit around and say nothing when people assume all christians are the same. You are refering to a small portion of christians and projecting a generalization onto the rest. Thats cool if you dont agree with the beliefs. I really couldnt care less. I think its good people have other beliefs. I just think dont think its cool when people put others down for their beliefs. (With that being said, some christians are fuckin crazy... but I explained my thoughts on that already)

and no, this is wrong. if they are christian, how could they not be bible thumpers? if they believe in the cross and then throw this giant fuckin cross in your face all the time, what do you think they are trying to say? not to mention all those gay song titles.

and if they are indeed christian, then it cant also be a joke. its only a joke to put up a cross if you dont believe in the fuckin cross. if you are actually christian, then that cross is a serious symbol, and one that means a lot, not one to be joked about. if they are joking with a cross, then they arent really christians, even if they think they are.

And it is quite easy to use the cross as a joke when you are christian. Its simple. You dont have to take religion as so seriously. I throw out Jesus jokes everyone and a while. You seem to have the assumption that everyone who is religious is a completely devoted whack job and that if you follow a religion, that is your entire life. You are sadly mistaken though. You can believe in a religion, follow its beliefs and not be completely consumed be it. You can even listen to Marilyn Manson and go against the religions beliefs and still be a part of the religion. Sure, some people are religious nuts. But thats their personal beliefs, not all religious peoples.
So what I am trying to say is perhaps the name Justice and usage of the cross are infact a joke. It is a serious symbol, but serious things can be joked about. If they are christian, and they are using it as a joke, they obviously arent the extreme wacko right-wing conservative christians you were refering too, and simply more moderate christians. Its possible. Open up your mind.
I also thing we may be disagreeing on the meaning of the work "joke." You may be taking the word "joke" in this situation to mean "We are making fun of the religion by adopting their symbol and using it for entertainments purpose." While I may be interpreting the usage of "joke" as something like "Our name is Justice. We are christians. There is a "t" in Justice, and the cross kind of looks like a "t"... lets use a cross as the letter "t" in our name and use it as our symbol." From there, they made song titles based off christian literature to go along with the theme of "Cross."
Just my :2c

Not Coachella, but 2005 in Buenos Aires. They rocked. I wish I could've seen them in the 90s.

Simple as this, The Prodigy have contributed A LOT to the development of the dance scene, breakbeat sounds in particular. They have been around for many years, and their old productions still sound fresh. They keep influencing many bands. I'm not saying Justice are bad musicians, but there is no way they are in the same level as The Prodigy. Never.

People might start debating about this after ten more years. That, if the name 'Justice' is still around there.
