I thought I had thinking about Coachella under control...That is, until the sounds from the PHISH Festival drifted in the back door this past weekend! Before you knew it I had a stepladder up against the wall on Monroe street and periodically had to go feel the vibes coming from the fest's direction!

Thanks pixiessp. It is pretty cool and we tend to take it for granted, I think. Pete's always helped out with re-fueling all the beer trucks, etc, and I would just walk on over when I felt like it, but we didn't really begin to appreciate it until we camped last year. Or, maybe I should say appreciate all of you for the trouble and planning, and of course the expenses involved in coming to Coachella. Once we began factoring in airfare, hotels, the price of gas, or the hassles of getting your camping gear from point A- point B, I realized how fortunate we are. (Hell, I made atleast 1-2 trips back home for shit I spaced out on and forgot! Oh, and one homestyle shower and nap.) Camping showed me what I had been missing all the previous times at Coach though...A lot of bands that I missed because I was dicking around at home instead of dancing around the fest. Seriously, while we may be that close, I felt hundreds of miles away from home last year and loved it. I'm really thinking I'm ready for another vacation within the next 6 months!

Yeah seems like a long ways away, but when i find something good durring the year i make sure i save some for Coachella because you never know when it will be back around again. If i happen to find something better i save that instead though, it's like a year search for the best of the best.

Nah i found a condo for WAAAAAAAAY cheaper, i got lucky on it trust me. It's 3 bed 3.5 Bath for $250/night, $150 Cleaning fee and $500 Security Deposit, plus the contract is for 4 days but they only charged me for 3 on accident and never realized it and they signed it too. It was the only condo i found that didn't raise their prices durring the weekend of Coachella, all Indian Palms condo's i found were $175-$250/night for April but for the Coachella weekend it was $500/night at all of them until i found this one.

Distorted Jungle: Where is the condo? 48% of the benefit of staying in a home is the walking/biking distance factor. I hope you are close!

It's in La Quinta, not walking distance but it's right next to where i stayed last year and there was never traffic going to or comming from the festival. Since parking is free it's still win/win even though someone has to drive, i got a condo for 4 days for less than i payed for 3 days at Embasy Suites last year so i'm good.

Decided to camp and use the timeshare on Wednesday and Sunday night and for whatever in between. How long does it usually take to from from where the backup begins to parking?

even if you have off-site, everyone should get a camping pass or you're missing out on half the party..

go on google maps and it is very easy to find other routes in other than the one gv gives you.
