This was going to be my entry to the summer mix contest, but I was too lazy to convert these all into MP3 (they are in both MP3 and .m4a, so you will need something that can play MP4's like iTunes). So I decided to go into a completely different direction. I like this one like 10 times more, though. Enjoy!

Here is an intro to the Dandy Warhols. I didn't change the album names to one thing, so the order doesn't really matter, but it would be nice if you listened to them in this order.

1. Colder than the Coldest Winter Was Cold
2. Country Leaver

I have a few more things on the way. I know there was already a Tom Waits mix, but I think I might make one too. There's a lot to choose from. And also something else.

The Getting To Know Oasis Mix

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=CG2RB3N9

So I made this mix up for Fickle and TeamCoachella (I think it was you two) who'd said they didn't like Oasis, and so I offered to try to give them an introduction. Die-hard fans might say that this is too hits-heavy--mostly really popular songs with a few of my personal favorites that I don't think get enough due. Any criticism would be welcome but of course ignored. I'm trying to show these boys why Oasis is awesome--might as well hit them with some shit they've heard.

Oasis Mix\01 - Better Man.mp3
Oasis Mix\02 - Talk Tonight.mp3
Oasis Mix\03 - Go Let It Out.mp3
Oasis Mix\04 - Stop Crying Your Heart Out.mp3
Oasis Mix\05 - Don't Look Back in Anger.mp3
Oasis Mix\06 - Songbird.mp3
Oasis Mix\07 - Hey Now!.mp3
Oasis Mix\08 - Live Forever.mp3
Oasis Mix\09 - Supersonic.mp3
Oasis Mix\10 - Wonderwall.mp3
Oasis Mix\11 - Little By Little.mp3
Oasis Mix\12 - Don't look back in anger.mp3
Oasis Mix\13 - Champagne Supernova.mp3
Oasis Mix\14 - D'you Know What I Mean-.mp3

In the recent Summer Mix Contest, I was reponsible for "Another Roadside Attraction." Here's a selection of alternate songs that I considered, but rejected, for the mix I eventually submitted. Considering that mix's relatively poor showing, these songs are either the victim of poor judgment or generally poor taste in music. Whichever, these are the songs that got left alongside the road. Click the title to download.

Roadside Attraction Rejects
Billy Bragg – "Accident Waiting to Happen"
The Wedding Present – "Kennedy"
Tom McRae – "You Only Disappear"
My Morning Jacket – "One Big Weekend"
Fugazi – "Reprovisional"
Shack – "Beautiful"
Jets to Brazil – "Morning New Disease"
David Bowie – "Heroes"
The Pogues – "The Sick Bed of Cuchulainn"
Pavement – "Summer Babe (Winter Version)"
The Blue Nile – "The Downtown Lights"
Graham Coxon – "I Can't Look at Your Skin"
Love – "Alone Again Or"
The Afghan Whigs – "Debonair"
New Order – "Temptation"
The Reindeer Section – "You Are My Joy"

Victims of poor judgment, i'd say. Never leave off Pavement, and that Love song is a classic, as is the Fugazi cut.

I'd like to point out that two people that were not you voted for your mix,and the winning mixes were 4 votes. It was a real good mix, just not many people participated in the voting.

I might need to make an Oasis mix to combat Randy's. I am disappointed with his selections.

As I said, it was a mix targeted to introduce and endear a couple folks completely unfamiliar with their catalog. I went with a lot of the big hits, a few notable lesser knowns, and filled in the rest with whatever I like.

Please feel free to make another Oasis mix. Mine was not an attempt at an authoritative or in-the-know mix, it was aimed at a pretty low common denominator. I would appreciate you schooling me in mix format, in you like.

I got the Black Keys mix and can't wait to listen to it,since I enjoyed what I saw of them at Coachella.I'm currently in Michigan and the mix is back home in Gilbert,so I'll get a chance to listen to it on Friday.
Also I want to note on the Costello Mix,it was a lot easier to make, once Tom put up his here.It was impossible for me to put all the lesser known songs(I Want You,Night Time, etc.) on a mix without sacrificing the "must-haves"(Accidents,Chelsea,etc.) and I was at total gridlock until Tom posted his mix.
