Dave was not drunk. Who knows on Mart and Fletch. The crowd sucked, and everything was frantic trying to make the set times since kanye west was a little B*%* and went over his set, delaying Sigur Ros, delaying Franz, and delaying Depeche. As much as I hold Depeche Mode up like a religion, I would be lying if I said they did not feed off the crowd (like most crowds do.) The crowd sucked, so they in turn did not bring it all. The crowd in Vegas was on top, and they were on top. By the way, I feel the show April 06 @ Hard Rock was tops over the Nov 05 performance at the Joint.

(Plus you had Sprocket, i.e. She Wants Revenge cursing the cheapskates catching the show from their balconies at hard rock. That was akward)

This would be a bad mistake. Depeche Mode is not a festival type band. To see them in an arena, with a full set, and sound system/stage is a life altering experience. Don't miss your chance to see them LIVE on their own show.

Rumors have it, the band hated Coachella (as they do most festivals) and they had a "talk" with their promoter in regards to booking this festival. I'm indifferent. I would have never gone to Coachella had it not been for Depeche Mode, and now I plan to return every year to Coachella. That being said, any Depeche Mode show on their own is >>>>>> Coachella.

They wouldnt even bother with the hippies, and Im sure nobody woudl watch. Bad move on Superfly thats for sure. They would do Glastonbury man, not Roo. German festivals for sure, thats like a lock. If you do not think they justifiable enough to see on their own, then quit trying to get excited for somebody you wont go see.






As for Coachella and them, they were way off their game, you could tell Daves voice was starting to go, which it did a few shows later, but not their best by any means. A couple of Robots stole the weekend away from that and lots of other things. I remember imploring all of the DM board peopel to see DP afterwards, but they thought it would be wrong cause nothing would be better than them, they got it wrong.

Well, I will try 1 or 2, not all. They will sold out pretty quickly (as in seconds) so my chance getting 1 is not even good (so I may end up trying for all of them). Yes, Depeche Mode is in my top 3 or 5 greatest bands of all-time (maybe in a tie as #3 all-time with few other bands).

German dates have been on sale for at least a week; not sure if they're sold out yet or not...

Probably won't announce US dates for at least a month-probably longer; they have to wait for arena schedules for the late summer/early fall to be out first. Expect a city list soon, but no official dates.

They won't be doing (American) festivals--ever again. They don't need to, and they don't like cutting their sets short. They also like having their own fans there, not a bunch of tools waiting to see Tool.
