Angry Alternate Music Bites the Dust in Coachella Valley Airwaves

Today you are hearing an entirely different radio station which has taken the place of the alternative, edgy, new music station.... m995.

You are hearing all this legendary rock. Why? What happened?. Well simply put, the Alternative Rock listening audience is just too small a community here in the desert to sustain a commercial radio station.

Those of you who have supported and been with us for the past several years.... WE THANK YOU. It's been our pleasure and passion to have been your outlet for the alternative rock music and lifestyle. But change is upon us now, and a new era for 99.5 as well....featuring Adam Carolla in the morning and Timeless Rock all Day!

We hope you enjoy listening to the all new 99.5 the Heat, playing all the legends of Rock n Roll from A to Z.....The Heat Is On!!!!

There's one radio station that plays oldies like Bennie Goodman and such. I spend a significant amount of time on that station while in the car that weekend.

so that basically means we have no more good radio stations back home? FUCKING shit.
anyone from home knows 92.7, 100.5, 97.7, and all others will and do not cut it.

How would they do it again if they don't exist any more?

this sucks... we already have a classic rock station out here the eagle 106.9 and don't really need another... i listened to 99.5 during lunch for the retromix (80's music)... they also had some reggae mixed in w/the alternative... it was nice and i will miss it... it's gonna be KCRW & KDES now -shrugs-

That's not how corporate radio works. The "dudes who work there" have to do what they're told from way above.
