Flights are $1294+ on expedia (more if I return home in August instead of immediately after Fuji Rock), so I estimate $5000. Trying to come up with six grand so I don't have to stay in hostels and can have a few nice meals. Right now I have $1600 and I can probably get a couple grand off my folks because they promised me a trip to Europe for graduation, and that was 3 years ago, and I never ended up taking one.

Wow 5 grand. It looks sweet and all but I can't do it. I think with 5 grand I could do 2 more european trips at 22 days each. I'm a budget traveller. Take lots of pictures and tell us lots of stories next year.

Really? For that cheap? It's just as much to fly to Europe from LAX, but I guess everything else would be cheaper there.

About a grand for the flight from Phoenix to Dublin and back. I spent around $2700 total I think. Saved tons of money with hostels as they were only 12-30 bucks a night. One outside meal a day. We went to grocery stores and such as it was nice to take in the culture that way as well. The other big saver was avoiding the eurorail and just buying one way tickets on the budget airlines. We flew for $30 on one flight. All taxes and fees, the flight was 1 euro. The eurorail would have cost us $800 pp, All of our contry to country flights were about $400-450 total.

Yep, the budge airlines there are great. I think the most expensive flight was $120 one way from Rome to Dublin.
