If you like absinthe as liquor, fine. If you think you're getting any kind of a trip out of it, you're not. The thujone (active ingredient in wormwood, which made absinthe a hallucinogen) levels in any absinthe produced today are not nearly high enough to produce even a threshold level psychoactive experience short of consuming enough to qualify for alcohol poisoning.

Never tried it as a liquour myself though. Tequila's my shiz.

gin, gin, gin, and more gin. gin and tonics are probably the best drink ever invented besides real cuban mojitos.
second choice is tequila, it's an easy drink to do shots with.

an old coworker of mine from Hungary makes his own absinthe that will make you trip, although you still have to be a hardcore boozehound to get keep enough of it down to make it happen.

and btw, absinthe is one of the foulest tasting concoctions on the planet. fucked up repugnant shit.

On the subject of absinthe--I suppose you could make it yourself and use a significant amount of wormwood, all I was saying is that no absinthe available on the open market is basically just a name.
