We've been making huge efforts to help make The Coachella Valley Music & Arts festival more environmentally friendly. Part of this effort is encouraging and reminding you to please CARPOOL to the festival.

Carpool with four (4) or more to a vehicle and you could win VIP tickets to Coachella for LIFE! Here's how.....

Simply write the word CARPOOLCHELLA on a 3x5 piece of paper (or larger) and place on your Dash and arrive at the festival between 9am-5pm. One time each day of the festival days (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), a SECRET SPOTTER will be out in the parking lots watching you park. At some random time, a random car with 4 or more people with a CARPOOLCHELLA sign on their dash will win! Each person in the car will win a VIP pass for Life starting 2008.

The SECRET SPOTTER will let you know you've won and have you fill out all the prize winning paperwork on the spot!

what about the people that are onsite camping? in order to be eligable, will we have to get in our cars and re-park every day in order to participate? seems like a waste of gas to me.

I don't think they allow RVs into the parking lot...I can't confirm that, though.

you can park in the day time with an rv, it is strongly suggested you arrive early.

That's why parking was so slow. GV used its workers to count the number of people in each car.

I thought one carpool would be chosen each day.

Did anyone catch the family that painted their entire minivan white with the Coachella horizon on the sides? They hung around their van for a while in the smaller parking lot south of that big white tent near the RV parking. Now that's dedication. Or desperation.
