Warm Up Your Fans & Reach New Ones

Tease & Share Sneak Peeks (But Don’t Give It All Away)

A little goes a long way in shaping the story your fans follow into the festival. Share bite-sized, vertical moments on your socials & be sure to tag @coachella

  • Reveal a bit of your creative process or April aspirations
  • Share rehearsal glimpses
  • Create cryptic copy, images or videos about unique set builds, costume design, visuals, etc
  • Hint at new music releases that you’ll perform live
  • Team up with other lineup artists (or special guests)

Examples

Create Excitement To Drive Set Attendance

Help People Show Up & Plan Ahead

  • Curate specialized playlists and time the release as attendees start their desert commute (i.e. “Songs For Your Desert Drive” “GRWM Playlist” “That Feeling When You Pass The Windmills”).
  • Book a desert billboard on the 10-freeway as an IRL reminder, before they’re all gone.
  • Create countdown social posts (i.e. 1-month, 1-week, 1-day before my set).
  • Share your set time information when it’s ready for release. Stay tuned for more details and timing!

Examples

Give Your Core Fans Special Assignments

  • Reveal preshow info to your fans to empower them to spread your message (ie. AMAs or going live on socials; seed info to fan accounts first).
  • Share fan-made posts and encourage trends (ie. fan dances like “Apple Dance”, coordinated outfits/makeup if you have “official colors” or fan indicators).

Examples

Create A Moment With Us

Do you have time and budget to plan something big together? Let’s chat!

  • Community programs (Queer+, Accessible+, GV BLACK, every one, Sustainability)
  • Camping, culinary or visual art activations

Debut Original Content In-stream

  • Send us a short video and it could be featured ahead of your set, or during performance breaks across livestream channels.
  • Hit us up early to troubleshoot any concepts you’ve got planned.

Styles and Examples:

  • Artist-produced narrative videos. We provide the parameters and specs. You produce and tell your story (example by The Prodigy; password - coach2025).
  • Self-shot social-style reaction videos. Send us the raw file in advance and we’ll add the graphics (example by SPEED; password - coach2025).

Tell The World To Watch

  • Encourage fan watch parties (i.e. “Show us your couch setup this weekend”).
  • Tell fans how and where to watch the replay of your stream if they missed it live.
  • Hint at special surprises that will only happen on the stream (i.e. original content).
  • Tap into your press resources to hit national and global news outlets, and save local and regional news for your in-person show.

Make It Easy To Tune-In & Engage

  • Share your livestream schedule time (not just your in-person set time).
  • Include time zone specifics, or send them to the official livestream app where we’ll do the time conversions for them.
  • Use countdown social posts in the leadup and pin your schedule on your feed so it’s easy to find.
  • Make a simple “Watch Me” post in your voice and style.
  • Stay tuned at the link above for festival-provided templates to make it easy to help fans tune-in fast.

FAQ

info icon
Can I partner with a sponsor or brand to promote my Coachella performance?

Only if it’s with one of our existing brand partners! We are happy to take your ideas to our partners to explore opportunities.

Will the festival collab post with us?

Within reason as we have a packed social calendar to fulfill. Pre-plan ahead with us.

How many photographers can I have for my set?

2 maximum. We will share photos from our house team for your promo-use.

Can I film my set or bring a video crew?

Professional video capture is prohibited on-site. Phone captures for short-form social moments (under 30-seconds) are generally permitted.

What assets can I expect from the livestream?

Connect with Julie Wadley for specifics for your team, but you can generally expect official clip(s) for your socials, VOD, and private view link sent by the festival.

What happens if I share ripped content to my channels?

You may risk a strike on your account and/or takedown notices. Stick with official resources from the festival as your safest option.
