Queer+ is an initiative to archive, celebrate and empower the BIPOC LGBTQ+ community at Coachella. We hope to enhance the culture by sprinkling the glitter of pride on BIPOC LGBTQ+ attendees and their allies. As we spread awareness and stand authentically in our individual truths, we invite every person to come together and unite for acceptance. This year, come find us in our HeadQ+uarters, a social gathering space at the center of the festival venue featuring unique activities and an unwavering spirit of inclusion and celebration.
Our HeadQ+uarters (HQ+) is dedicated to enhancing the festival's all inclusive culture. Our HQ+ team intends to highlight the transcendence of the BIPOC LGBTQ+ community by inspiring individuality, authenticity and eccentricity. You be you! This is a safe space and a judgment free zone. By providing a space that embodies self-expression, inclusion and diversity, we aim to uplift, empower and expand the BIPOC LGBTQ+ community at the festival.
The HQ+ will serve as a social gathering space within the festival grounds for BIPOC LGBTQ+ individuals to come and be celebrated. HQ+ will feature multiple interactive, inspirational and archival art projects.
Q+amp at Coachella is an empowerment camp for BIPOC LGBTQ+ individuals that provides a select group of people a unique, most expenses paid, opportunity to participate in the festival as Q+ampers. Q+ampers can expect to be fully immersed in the Coachella Festival experience with VIP access to most festival activations and opportunities to interact with BIPOC LGBTQ+ leaders of the festival. We hope this experience empowers each of our Q+ampers and also creates a community from which we can expand the BIPOC LGBTQ+ attendance of the festival.
